We’ve asked our young artists to tell us a little more about their work…
What was your personal idea behind the painting? What did you want to show or say with the painting?
I love nature and I like to go to the park with my family. These paintings were inspired by the tall trees I see in the park near my home. I hope to share the same feeling of calmness I feel in the park when listening to the trees – the melodic rustling of leaves and how they seem to dance in the breeze — through my painting.
Why did you choose these particular objects, colours, shapes and patterns?
I painted the background and the leaves in bright colours to make them stand out against the darkness of the tree trunks. I hope to bring joy to people through my colorful paintings.
How did you feel as you were creating this painting?
I feel comforted and calm as I created the painting through repetitive motion.
