Earth/Sea 2021

ERA partners The Business Times Budding Artists Fund (BT BAF) and LivingWithArt Singapore to empower children and youth with opportunities to discover and develop their creative potential. The theme of Earth/Sea is a celebration of life where every person regardless of race, language or religion lives in harmony and draws awareness of the social issues that may affect our environment.

As the world moves inexorably toward the Fourth Industrial Revolution with disruptions in the physical, digital and biological realms, there is a worrying trend that sees youth in marginalised communities being left behind. This is a problem that is local and global in scope.

In Singapore, there are many communities in which the business community can reach out and have positive impact. This charity art exhibition of original works by beneficiaries of the BT BAF seeks to do its part in being a driving force for change.

Specially curated for the newly renovated Everyday@ERA — the largest co-working space that empowers real estate salespersons in Singapore — this exhibition with the message of empowerment aptly aligns with its vision to become the real estate company of choice for its clients and real estate salespersons.

About The Business Times Budding Artists Fund

Since 2005, the BT BAF has helped more than 20,000 beneficiaries through its two arts schools, The Little Arts Academy at Northpoint City, Yishun, and 10 Square Youth at Orchard Central. Children and teens from six to 19 years of age attend a year-long arts training in a community which nurtures their social and emotional competencies. Through a holistic arts programme funded by the BT BAF, the next generation learns creative expression, develop social competencies and forge a growth mindset. They acquire foundations in painting, hip-hop and contemporary dance, learning a musical instrument, digital literacy and entrepreneurial skills. Their emotional and mental well-being is nurtured through a community of dedicated trainers and school administrators.
